Shani Stotra

Shani stotra

Shani Dev is the deity who is invoked by repeating the Shani Mantra on a daily basis. He is the God of Justice, and he punishes or rewards people according to their karma. Thousands of devotees worship him all around the country, and he is also known as Ara, Koda, or Kona.

Shani Dev is the son of Lord Surya and Chayya, according to Hindu mythology. Lord Shiva guided him and entrusted him with the task of bringing justice to the world. Shani Dev is thought to be a fair judge, and no one is exempt from his judgement. Even Lord Shiva was chastised by this God of Justice for his wrongdoings.

Shani is a planet that is also known as Saturn and is considered a malefic planet in astrology. The name 'Shani' comes from the Sanskrit term "Sanaischara," which means "slow runner." Saturn is a slow-moving planet, thus it takes around 2.5 years for it to go from one zodiac sign to the next.

Its negative or positive effects are seen in your horoscope chart the instant it enters the zodiac before yours. And so begins the Shani Saade Saati, a 7.5-year period during which Saturn swings through three zodiac signs: the one before yours, the one following yours, and your own zodiac sign.

It is stated that no one is immune to Shani Dev's bad effect. It is therefore crucial to seek the favour of this deity by singing the Shani Mantra on a regular basis and appeasing him.
