Meaning of Indrakshi Stotram

Indrakshi stotram- devi mantra for a healthy life

Lord Sriman Narayana taught the INDRAKSHI STOTRAM to Sri Narada Maharishi when Naradji requested a powerful prayer that would grant everyone a healthy (Arogya) life devoid of ailments. This Stotra was afterwards taught to Indra, the Deva monarch, and from him to Purandara Rishi, the Saint. This stotra is a potent and useful mantra devoted to the Divine Mother, Goddess Parvathi, as Durga (Indrakshi). Sage Purandara then taught these chants to everyone he met, making them widely known. This mantra must be chanted on a regular basis by anyone who wishes a perfect cure and healing from various disorders. He will have a happy, healthy, and rich life free of untimely death. Many devi worshippers repeat this Stotra regularly in their homes and in temples in groups for a healthy life.

Indrakshi homam procedure

Through the prayer of Goddess Indrakshi, puja provides joy, happiness, tranquillity, peace, harmony, prosperity, and beauty.

Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh are all said to revere Goddess Indrakshi. She is described as the enchantress of the universe, the one who defeats the enemies, saves the innocent, the savior and the destroyer, the almighty goddess.

The Goddess is invoked by the recitation of mantras and strotras in Indrakshi Puja. She's decked up in finery and adorned with flowers and diamonds. Priests do Mantra Japas and her Shadopchar puja according to Vedic scriptures to seek her blessings. To satisfy Lord Agni and other Gods, homa is done at the end using sacrificial ghee (clarified butter) and havan samagri to pass on the prayers to Her.

Indrakshi Puja and Yagna includes Kalash Sthapana, Panchang Sthapana (Gauri Ganesh, Punyavachan, Shodash Matrika, Navgraha, Sarvotabhadra), 64 yogini Pujan, Shetrapal Pujan, Swasti Vachan, Sankalpa, Ganesh Pujan and Abhishek, Navgraha Pujan and chants of each planetary mantra, Invocation of major Gods and Goddesses in Kalash, Indrakshi Idols and yantra Pujan, Indrakshi Kavach and Strotra, Indrakshi mantra chanting, Havan, Aarti and Pushpaanjali.
